This music was created as an uplifting and supportive audial companion for life's many challenges, transitions and metamorphosis. It has been found to be particularly healing, comforting and inspiring for people facing everything from common daily stress, disease, trauma and even the process of dying. Using the seven chakras as a map, this is a musical journey towards love, peace and acceptance that can provide significant relief and support to individuals and loved ones facing life changing circumstances.

Light Body was born out of a collaboration of ideas that Peter Kater and I tossed around after meeting and becoming friends on a whale watching retreat he put on in Maui. We both have been drawn to the idea of helping people in Hospice with music. This was really an idea conceived out of noticing a gap in care for those people in pain, going through change and of course those facing the dying process. This includes their loved ones. Knowing that the sense of hearing is the last sense to stay with us as we leave our bodies, we know that the last music we hear should be comforting , remove fear, should trigger pleasant memories and feelings of belonging. With this in mind, Light Body was born.
Peter used the natural 7 Chakra energy pathway as a map to create a musical journey towards love, peace and acceptance. I feel very honored to have 7 time Grammy Nominee, Peter Kater, as the first artist to be a part of Mysterium Music. I also feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to be the vocalist on this CD.
Peter is an amazing producer as well as a composer and pianist, and is able to bring out the best in everyone he works with. He certainly did that for me.
We hope that Light Body, the CD, is something that music therapists, massage therapists, healing arts practitioners, psychologists, psychotherapists, hospice workers and anyone looking for balance and peace in their practice or in their own lives can carry with them and access at any time. Even the painting on the cover, by artist Valerie McManus, was commissioned and designed specifically for Light Body to encourage a feeling of peace and enlightenment. Relax and enjoy the journey towards Light Body.

This musical journey begins at the root chakra and progresses upward through these subtle energy centers along the spine ascending to the crown. As each center of intelligence is pierced, it becomes relaxed, balanced and charged. The result is free flow of life energy - prana.

Light Body can be used alone or as a compliment to traditional medical treatment. It is suitable for general relaxation, yoga class, Reiki, massage or other body work. It is effective as background music during guided meditations and creates a relaxed ambience in one’s living or work space. Bowden’s soothing vocals render the heart chakra worthy of looping.

Valerie McManus is an artist, philosopher and visionary. A student of nature and wisdom traditions, she follows both artistic and spiritual paths.
An avid painter of the human form, McManus is well known for capturing the true essence of her subjects.
As a young woman, Valerie was initiated into the Kriya Yoga tradition. These practices birthed the inner spiritual journey improving concentration and endurance. They opened her mind and expressive capabilities to the Infinite. Today, her artistic inspiration comes from the love and beauty of this rich and magical existence.

As Peter explains, the tropical interplay of elements is one of his greatest motivations. During sunrise and sunset, the ocean and all of the elements connect in a magnificent display of Light. This fractal expansion is the perfect interplay of all elements: earth, water, fire, air and ether.
Peter is a great maestro of interpreting sound. His art in music is very evident in the silence between notes.
In those spaces he gains great depth. In the space between notes, Peter unites with Source - the Great Expansion - Eternity. This soul depth is what it takes to be a true artist.
In the silence, he listens. Each note is his response. This call and response becomes the dance his songs are made of.
This magical union through meditative insight is what he’s been called to do. No one else in the world can reflect that for him.
When one with nature, Peter experiences the depth of the ocean and rises high like the sky. His notes have colors like fire. Peter’s music mirrors the Infinite.
Like the sacred honey bee, Peter brings the divine nectar of inner peace and joy to humanity. The collective then resonates to the sacred geometry that lies therein.
This musical language speaks to all nations. His music is a frequency attunement expanding the consciousness and well being of mankind.
Peter’s connection to the Transcendent is what inspired my artistic interpretation. I painted Light Body to resonate in concert with his deep connection to Creation – that which connects us all.
